I have never had a complaint about installation. Danny has always given me

For real value and surprisingly
professional installation, go to the Home Depot store in San Rafael. They do
not carry all the "high-end" products but they have a very complete selection
and the pricing is appropriate. Good value. (September, 2003)

We purchased our carpet a little
over a year ago at Home Depot on Francisco Boulevard in San Rafael. Price
seemed commensurate, possibly a little less than other stores and quality and
selection was very good, payment plan excellent. Their deal included a good
quality padding at no charge, the installation crew was pleasant though they had
very limited English language skills. We moved all of our furniture ourselves,
saving those costs. (September, 2003)

Hi - A great place to buy
carpeting is right here in Richmond - Tradeway. I don't have a phone book as

They are a discount warehouse with great flooring deals. They also have a
discount furniture store on San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito ((510)
529-2360). There they have name brand furniture, Broyhill, etc. that they acquire in big lots from the
department stores and then sell at super-discounted prices. Worth checking out
for those who don't want to pay full price and are willing to shop in a
warehouse-type environment. (September, 2003)
- Hi Ida - As you know Bill and I just had new carpet and
flooring (Allock) installed (Allock is similar to Pergo but with metal
fasteners underneath). I just wanted to pass along to our neighbors a
recommendation. Rafael Carpets handled the sale and installation and did an
excellent job. Doug Parsons was our contact. If anyone would like to drop by

Hi Ida - this is our happy story. We were desperate for
carpet, too many choices and not enough time. Some friends saved us recommending
the 'Designer's Carpet Showroom' in Emeryville (1414 62nd St., (510) 547-4965,
call for appointment). Cary Parker is a great guy. He showed us a lot of
samples, but only the ones in our range of money and interests, he left with us
a bunch of them (do not worry, he said, they will NOT work) and came the day
after in our unit, with other samples. He walked around, then picked three
sample up. 'The choice here is between A, B and C' (quoted) explaining why. Our
choice was A, in the budget (also compared with other places) and in time. We
went from being desperate to relieved... (September, 2003)

Hi Ida- The info for the best (and best price) rug and
other floor coverings is Reg Susini 925-228-3070 or 8358. His workers are
first rate, clean up carefully, and are the most competent and pleasant
people I've ever had do a job for me. I recommended him to several others
who were equally pleased . He's in Martinez, but comes to you with samples
etc. You can also go to a floor place, find what you like, and he will get
it for a lower price. (November, 2004)
