Extra Decadent Brownies

These are always a hit at pot lucks. Dangerously easy, and the extra jolt of chocolate makes them even more wonderful!

4 oz. unsweetened (baking) chocolate

1 cup sweet butter

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1 bag (12 oz.) semi sweet chocolate chips

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 9" X 12" baking pan.

Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter. Add to sugar and mix. Add remaining ingredients except chips and blend well. Stir in chip. Bake 45 minutes. Brownies may be soft when they come out of the oven, but as they cool, they will become firmer.
