Airport Transportation Service Recommendations
-
Wanted to share with you and other BYL residents that I had a
great experience with Sally's driver who picked me up at OAK yesterday . . .
she was prompt, courteous, and cordial. One-way charge was $45. (See Sally
Wang Excelsior Travel below) (June, 2007)

Regarding taxi service to BART. Here's a recommendation
against...I tried to book a taxi in advance (night before) to get to BART to
to make a flight to SFO. I called Yellow Cab Express in Berkeley. They told
me I couldn't book a cab in advance for a local trip but I should call a
half hour before I needed service. The next day I called before my flight
and they simply said they had no cabs available for that type of service. I
ended up driving myself. Avoid Yellow Cab Express! (May, 2007)

My son works as a valet in the CITY and previously worked as
a driver for an elderly couple for 6 months prior to us moving to
California. He offers rides to SFO for 35.00. He has a flawless driving
record, full insurance and a clean car. He will accommodate anyone's
schedule providing it does not conflict with his college classes. His name
is Kyle Uberman hm.235-2069. cell 415-686-2069 (June, 2005)

taxi to Richmond/DelNorte Bart and connect to
either SFO or Oak. works very well (June, 2005)
- Hi. we use a (24 hour) service called Airport Direct - they
are a little more expensive but very reliable. You can request a Town Car or
a regular cab. They know Brickyard Landing. (June, 2005)
- My partner and I do
provide airport shuttle to SFO/Oakland. Rate starts fr $35 to Oakland // $40
SFO during non peak traffic. We also offer visa service. Sally Wang Excelsior

Hi Ida - Just wanted
to let you know that I used the person Sally Wang recommended (see
above) to get to
and from SFO and it was a great experience. His name is Jason and he
was on time, has a clean and comfortable car, is a good driver, and a
clean and pleasant person. He was even flexible and picked us up from
SFO even after we changed our return flight plans. I would definitely
recommend people contact Sally Wang if they have a need transportation
to and from Oakland or SFO. Oh, one more thing … the cost was $90 round
trip. The taxi services I called all quoted me $50 one way.
- I use American Airport
taxi for all of my airport/business trips (510) 791-0609 (ask for Dawer or
Hamed they are brothers and own the company). I am not sure of the cost but
they are very reliable (even for very early and very late flights) and
therefore worth the money. (June, 2005)
- Hi Ida -- I usually drive to
the airport, but on occasion I have used BayPorter Express to SFO. I
imagine they serve OAK as well. Service has been just fine -- BayPorter
Express, 27 Industrial Way, Brisbane, CA 94005, (877) 467-1800. (August,
2003)
- Hi Ida. I took a cab to the
Bart station to go to SFO recently. The cab was $20.00, the train $5.45. It
took 1 hour and was real easy. (August, 2003)

Hi, Ida. I use BayPorter Express Airport Shuttle
Service. It's $31.00 to either the Oakland or the San Francisco
airport from here. Their phone number for reservations and information
is (877) 467-1800 toll free or (510) 864-4000 from here. (August, 2003)
- Hi Ida. I
took Bayporter once and had good service. The next time I reserved a time
and waited and waited and they never showed up! I called and only got a
message. After at least a 30 minute wait I dashed to OAK and left my car in a
park and ride. No more Bayporter for me!

Hi Ida - I just wanted to let you know that I used BayPorter
to get to and from Oakland Airport this week and it was a very pleasant
experience. Because of our location we are the first pickup so they arrived
here exactly when they said they would. They made 3 other stops along the
way so it took a while but I felt it was worth it. The ride home was
great. Just one other stop between the airport and BYL. Both drivers
were very pleasant and professional. The price is $35 each way and they are
currently offering a $5 discount if you purchase your return trip in
advance. (September, 2003)
- Bayporter has just gone up to $35.00
to OAK airport. Some of the "independents" that hang out waiting to pick-up
fares out at the airport asked for as much as $40.00, but were ready and
willing to barter (what country did you say I was in???) (August, 2003)
- The Marin Airporter (out of the Larkspur Landing location)
is $16.00/one way, $4.00/day for parking. (August, 2003)
