I can second the comments about Chuck Bleckinger, 223 2483, as a teaching tennis pro. After a 20 year tennis 'lay-off' , I walked cold into his San Pablo Blvd shop.....and both he and his wife, Jewel (who runs the shop/does the stringing) put together some new gear for me to use. From the first hour with Chuck, I've improved in all areas of the game. I'm now up to 1 1/2 hours of a solid learning experience 2-3 times a week, as a direct result of his instruction and of his shakingoff 20 years of rust from my game. Chuck is from the mid-west, and not a big talker-----but he gets all his points across clearly and with great care. He works will all skill levels....and with players who have disabilities. Patience, care and a love of the game make Chuck a coach I could recommend to most any player/player to be. (August, 2006)

An outstanding and experienced tennis coach is Chuck Bleckinger 223 2483 - He lives on the Richmond Parkway - he also has a tennis shop, which his wife runs. Chuck is a great guy and a wonderful, patient professional tennis teacher. He has been teaching for many years and is also one of the best Senior players in the State. I highly recommend him. Hi Ida - some time back, I mentioned I had the name - or could get it - of a tennis coach in Berkeley; His name is Norman Sokalski (510) 703 7721. For those interested in levels (all Greek to me) he is certified as follows USPTA, USPTR Level 1. He teaches in Berkeley; my colleague said he would not be able to travel here for a single lesson, but might be interested if there were a group, etc. Or, he is available if someone wants to travel to him.
