I use Jane Himmelvo in Pt. Richmond as my primary care person. She refers out for appropriate and necessary things, I find her thoughtful and careful. It is good for me because I have to have blood monitored so frequently, I appreciate the convenience. Her hours are a bit different, as she has an infant, but they could check and see if it might be a fit - she is two doors down from Santa Fe market where the Doctor is In sign is. She takes insurance, at least my Blue (November, 2008)
Kaiser is opening a beautiful new clinic in Pinole that will be devoted to family practice, offering services like the old fashioned family doctor. Seems Kaiser has done considerable research on what kind of medical care people prefer and discovered many would like family members to share the same doctor. So a number of the Richmond Kaiser doctors who practice family medicine are moving to the new Pinole facility in January 2009.These doctors will see all the members of the same family, from baby to bubbi. This might be an interesting option for the new family. (November, 2008)
