Furniture Refinisher or Upholsterer Recommendations
As suggested by neighbors who used her services previously, we with Gail Brooks of Gail's Custom Canvas (925-372-3811) to re-upholster six dining room chairs. She did a great job! (July, 2008)
Ida, some time ago we used Laverty's Upholstery, 767 23rd Street. 233-4945. His name is Patrick I think and he will pick up and deliver. We went to the shop to pick out the fabric. I thought his work was very good and prices fair. (December, 2006)

I was pleased with the work of Patti who has a desk at Poppy's at Broadway and 51st in Oakland and runs several workshops around and about where the actual work is done. Pricey, but then the work is fastidious. (December, 2006)
Dear Ida - In one of your Share the Wealth missives you asked about a good furniture refinisher. Sarah Johnson use to be a tenant at our small industrial park in Richmond and is a first class furniture refinisher and restorer. She has moved to Marin County but I think will pick up furniture.
