White Elephant Truck is now collecting merchandise for the 2007 sale.
If you
wish to donate to the sale, for large items, please call 510/839-5919 for
free van pick-up.

3) The Pt Richmond Methodist
church accepts donations that go to their annual "Junktique" sale and then
leftovers are distributed to newly arriving refugees sponsored by the
International Rescue Committee. Contact Lorraine Parmer at 233-1792 if you
want to donate to the church. (Lorraine lives here at BYL and is an active
member of the church.)

You go to that web site and submit your
free stuff. People call or e-mail. There are only a few conditions.
a. Your description must be honest
b. The first person that responses get
the ‘first right of refusal'.
c. It must be absolutely free
d. You can agree to deliver it or they
can agree to pick it up.
e. You must establish a Yahoo account. Go
to Yahoo.com. Sign up. Then go to freecycle.org. and on the left hand side
you pick US West Coast. Then 'pick'
San Francisco bay area east bay. And then
pick the join button.

www.1800gotjunk.com Their website says that they recycle over 50% of
the items they pick up and that in some cases they drop off items at
charitable organizations.
