I would just like to add my recommendation to the others that have used Jose and Javier Santos. They just finished a beautiful makeover of my bath to a shower. I would like to recommend Jose and Javier Santos as a valuable resource for BYL residents. They are skilled in many areas with a strong focus on any project and amazing attention to detail. They also exhibit a willingness to work until the client is satisfied even when things don't go as smoothly as planned (our case).
They recently worked on our bathrooms and we are extremely pleased with the results. Our "master bath" now features a walk-in shower as well as new vanity cabinets, faucets, sinks, and mirrors. They also painted several rooms, installed new closet doors, and made numerous other improvements . . . all with great care and to our specifications. They are always courteous and pleasant which isn't always the case these days. As it has been a pleasure to work with Jose and Javier, I hope other BYL residents will invite them to work on their various construction projects.

Ida: I can’t say enough about the professional job that general contractor Fred Olaguez (510-685-0236) and his crew did in remodeling our master bath into a walk in shower. He was always there for us, never made us feel that he didn’t listen to our questions or concerns. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him for ANY home remodel you do. To top it all his prices were more than reasonable and the finished job is magnificent. Having him as a Brickyard neighbor and friend is something both Chris & I will always cherish. (April, 2008)

Word of warning if you live on the first floor: When Val Betti's workmen began the task (of replacing our tub with a walk-in shower), they found that the drain was not rightly positioned for the "American granite" composite shower enclosure we'd ordered. It was not possible to x-ray through the concrete (too thick) and not possible to drill because of the tension rods. Our solution was to have the enclosure cut down and simply replace the tub. I remodeled my bathroom (replaced a shower over a tub with a shower)..I used Artistic Bath and Shower at 925-228-2277. Russ was professional and kept surrounding area clean. He did demolition, shower installation and all plumbing. Was nice not to schedule other trades. He only uses Swanstone (comes in many colors.) He is expensive but the results are excellent. I would recommend him. (April, 2006)
